Normally bass players are the guys up the back, but this particular bloke has played with Roxy Music, David Bowie and most notably Pink Floyd.

His name is Guy Pratt (pictured above left) and he joined Pink Floyd for the Delicate Sound of Thunder and PULSE world tours in 1987 and 1994 after original member Roger Waters split from the band.

Triple M's Becko had the pleasure of speaking to the London-born muso when he was in Australia recently for the Sydney and Melbourne Comedy Festival and couldn't help but ask him about his Floyd days.

"It was insane," he laughed. "At the time it was the biggest tour the world had ever seen. We travelled around in a Boeing 727 which seated 20 people. It had a dining room, a marble bathroom [and] a bedroom with a waterbed! It was crazy."

Of course, there is a hot rumour that The Wall concert will be coming to Australia at the end of the year. Although it has nothing to do with Pink Floyd because it's Roger Waters' show (where he does whatever he wants), Guy did drop this mega teaser about a potential Pink Floyd reunion of sorts between former warring partners Roger Waters and David Gilmour.

"David is appearing at one of those [upcoming] shows. And I know which one… no he might be, he might be," laughed Guy.

Oh boy, is it time to get excited?

Indeed, it looks like the pair have followed through on their promise to play together again following their performance last year at a charity event in London last year. After that show Roger Waters did say that he'd love Dave to join him at some stage on his current world tour.
