It's like asking how long is a piece of string. With Australia Day coming up we wanted to know who you thought was the greatest Aussie band ever?
From Sydney to Adelaide, Melbourne to Brisbane, hundreds of you had your say across all our Facebook pages.
We produce so much good music all across the board - The Angels, AC/DC, Powderfinger, Silverchair, Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, shall we keep going? - so we knew it was gonna be a tough call… but the results are in.
INXS

Coming in third place was INXS. It's no secret they've sold millions of records but with Michael Hutchence at the helm they always kept it real. INXS didn't just come from nowhere. They were a phenomenal live band who kept on playing and playing. And they put out some pretty decent albums too!
Cold Chisel

Second place went to Cold Chisel.
The Oz rock icons tick all the boxes of what makes a great Aussie band - loud, dangerous, fast, sweaty, chaotic and excessive.
"Without a doubt, Cold Chisel," said Tania Sherley on Rock News Facebook. "After seeing them live last year, they proved that they ARE 'raw Aussie Rock'."

And drumroll please! First place for the Greatest Aussie Band Ever goes to… AC/DC.
Of course, the one and only AC/DC is the biggest and greatest rock band in the world so it's no surprise really.
Other honourable mentions go to those great blokes from The Living End, Powderfinger, Midnight Oil and The Angels.
To all those that had their say, we salute you this Australia Day.
Who do you think is the greatest Aussie band ever?
