VIDEO: Top 5 Greatest Rock Star Falls Off Stage Post by: Chris E Leigh 2 November, 2011 - 10:35 AM

Ace Frehley joined the 'Clumsy Rock Star Club' last night with a spectacular stack off the stage mid guitar solo last night.

But what are the greatest rock star falls off stage of all time?

#5. KISS: Ace Frehley Stacks It At BB King Gig.

Ace Frehley's stack occurred during a particularly intricate guitar solo at New York's BB King Blues & Grill.

Playing KISS classics solo while spruiking his new book, he looked like he was dropping the axe for emphasis when he stumbled right off the stage. Though he valiantly tried to pick up where he left off, eventually he had to source a new instrument to keep on wailin'. Ten points for recovery effort.

#4. U2: Bono Stands Too Close To The Edge.

(Source: YouTube)

We all know Bono loves a good rock star run down the arena runway. He's a flamboyant guy. He's always throwing in some jazz hands, a few spins.

But his famous backwards run didn't quite go as planned back in 2008, when the Irish firebrand found he was indeed standing too close to The Edge.

#3. Aerosmith: Steve Perry Pushes Steven Tyler Offstage.

(Source: YouTube)

Aerosmith made global headlines when the infamous Toxic Twins allegedly got into a little scuffle onstage. The rumour was guitarist Joe Perry was pissed off over Steven Tyler joining American Idol and this was another case of their fiery relationship spilling over into the public area.

According to Perry, he was getting over Tyler's tendency to push and shove. "[Steve Tyler's] got this thing in his head that it's cool when the guys in the band bump into each other. Nobody else in the band feels that way… Leave me alone when I’m playing." Steven Tyler of course stacked it again recently ... in the shower.

#2. Guns 'n' Roses: Axl Rose Knocks On Hell's Door... The Ground.

(Source: YouTube)

Axl Rose may be better known for starting riots and his infamous diva behaviour, but sometimes the rocker can give a whole stadium a big belly laugh.

During an impassioned rendition of Gunners classic 'Knocking On Heaven's Door,' his cowboy dance took him across the stage and eventually right on his arse. He does seem to be mellowing with old age though, instead of throwing a fit, he laughed at himself and got back on with the show.

#1.Poison: Bret Michaels' Unskinny Bop On The Head.

(Source: YouTube)

Poison's Bret Michaels is quite the showman, as his recent shows in Australia proved, but he deserved even more pyro and maracas for this spectacular crash.

He was strutting off an awards show stage when hit in the head by the next performers' stage. Such a moment of beauty it deserves the Number One position (though we do hope he made it out without being seriously injured).
