The Supermoon Was So Big You Could Almost Touch It

The supermoon illuminated the skies of Sydney tonight, and it was so big you could almost touch it.

The moon was the biggest and brightest we've seen in nearly 70 years.

To observers it appeared about 14 per cent larger than normal, although the human eye is barely able to recognise that difference. It won't be this close again until 2034.
