The Naughties have been a great decade for Aussie sport, so great in fact, we can’t decide what the top 10 moments are!

Some of our favourite moments have been:

Cathy Freeman winning gold in 2000.
John Aloisi getting the Socceroos into the 2006 World Cup.
Steve Waugh scoring a last-ball century at the SCG.

10. Scott Sattler's try saving tackle in the 2003 NRL Grand Final.
9. Australia beats the USA in the 4x100m freestyle relay at the Sydney Olympics.
8. John Eales's Bledisloe kick.
7. Swans win the AFL Grand Final.
6. Australia wins the Ashes 5-0.
5. Makybe Diva wins 3 Melbourne Cups in a row.
4. Steve Waugh's last ball SCG century.
3. Sydney Olympics Opening Ceremony.
2. John Aloisi's penalty at the 2006 World Cup.
1. Cathy Freeman wins gold at the Sydney Olympics.

    Thorpies effort at Athens 2004 and the Wallabies getting done over by Johnny Wilkinson in the 2003 Rugby World Cup would have to be up there...

    Would definitely have to be Steve Waugh's century on the last ball of the day at the SCG- with all the media on his back pushing him to retire. What an innings and what a memory- still gives me goosebumps when i see it or hear it!!!!

    These are my best personally attended moments 1. Schwarzer's saves and Aloisi's Goal in that WC qualifier. and 2. The Mens 4 x 100 metre swimming final at the Sydney Olympics when we smashed the yanks 'like guitars'.

    I think the biggest memories that stand out from this decade are

    1. Aloisi's Penalty/Schwarzer's save against Uruguay

    2. Garth Tander/Jason Bargwanna winning Bathurst, I think it was 2002

    3. Stephen Bradbury winning Australia's 1st ever Gold in the Winter Olympics

    4. Cathy Freeman's Gold Medal winning run in the Sydney Olympics

    5. Damian Oliver winning the Melbourne Cup in memory of his late brother
