Rod "Love Rod" Maldon is from WA, but has worked bloody everywhere.

iRod started in radio at 16, leaving home for bigger towns, and eventually, bigger cities and the world at large.

In a former life, he kicked arse at Fox FM in Melbourne on the afternoon shift, before he scored this gig, his true calling - rocking out on the M's.

Finally, he can unleash all the air guitar and finger drumming moves he's always wanted to.

iRod's favourite bands are Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam and Collective Soul and his most memorable rock show was Jet at the Adelaide Tennis Centre.

Beyond his rock, he loves travelling, footy and the pub.
