Maroon was born in his dad's kebab shop in Waterloo in 1966. He is most famous for being able to turn a conversation about anything into a conversation about the Rabbitohs.
He plans to retire in 2025 and invest in a lolly shop in Coffs Harbour with his friend Rob Duckworth.
He is married to Christine who was crowned "Miss Portugal" 1984.
