With the lure of $1126.80 (a month's pension!), proud seniors Dawn, Carol and Elsie stepped up to the plate, ready to race their mobility scooter for the title.
With Paul Murray calling the race like a pro, the golden girls hurtled round the Western Sydney Dragway in a battle for senior supremacy.

Have you ever done extreme racing? No, but I've driven a handicap vehicle just prior to having my knee done!
What car do you own? Toyota Corolla Conquest 2002.
What was the first car you owned? Ford Prefect 1960.
Have you ever had an accident? I tailended someone once, but it wasn't my fault!
What's the fastest you've ever gone? Legally? 110km/h down the freeway.
Do you suffer from road rage? I abuse people in my own language 'coz let's face it - 95% of people on the road are idiots!

Age: 62
Have you ever done extreme racing? No. I don't even go on the merry-go-round!
What car do you own? Mazda 6.
What was the first car you owned? A Volkswagon, like an old Beetle.
Have you ever had an accident? No, but I've probably caused a few!
What's the fastest you've ever gone? Over 100km/h. My grandkids call me leadfoot!
Do you suffer from road rage? No, never!

Have you ever done extreme racing? Since I hit 63 I've stopped think about racing!
What car do you own? Toyota Camry.
What was the first car you owned? It was similar to a Wolseley. My husband will know.
Have you ever had an accident? One.
What's the fastest you've ever gone? I do the speed limit - 120km/h.
Do you suffer from road rage? I was taught the old way, so I'm a very patient driver.
