The convoluted deal has been cleared up that landed O'Meara to the Hawks.

Originally, Hawthorn completed the following pick swap:

Carlton receive: Draft picks 48, 66 and 70

Hawthorn receive: 2017 second-round pick

Then, using their new selection, the Hawks were able to complete the following trade:

Gold Coast receive: Draft pick 10, 2017 second-round pick (on-traded)

Hawthorn receive: Jaegar O'Meara

Gold Coast young gun Jaeger O’Meara has finally been traded to Hawthorn with just minutes left in the 2016 AFL Trade period.

Suns football manager has Marcus Ashcroft confirmed the huge news.

Gold Coast have reportedly acquired Hawthorn's pick 10 as well as a pair of future second-round picks in a complicated deal involving more than two clubs.
