Western Bulldogs veteran Matthew Boyd has suggested he will take his time before making a decision on his playing future.

The 34-year-old was an All-Australian this season and a crucial member of the Dogs side as they won a historic premiership.

He said he wasn't thinking about what the future held just yet.

"I think I'm just going to enjoy this moment," he told Channel 7's Game Day.

"Obivously I've really enjoyed my last couple of years of footy, it's all culminated in a premiership. It's what we all play for, it's the reason we get out of bed in the morning and turn up to the footy club."

The 282-game veteran still had his premiership medal draped around his neck.

"I'll let this sink in and we'll make a decision in a couple of weeks, or however long it takes," he said.
