Former Carlton player Andrejs Everitt has taken to Instagram again - but this time without a dodgy Photoshop.

Everitt, who played 131 games for Carlton, Sydney and the Western Bulldogs across 10 years, formally announced his AFL retirement in an Instagram post on Friday.

"10 years, 131 games and 3 clubs. I can't complain with that!" he wrote.

"Now being a few weeks after my exit from the Carlton Football Club my fiancé and I have decided that the AFL chapter has been complete."

10 years, 131 games and 3 clubs. I can't complain with that! Now being a few weeks after my exit from the Carlton football club my fiancé and I have decided that the AFL chapter has been complete. I would like to give a massive shout out to everyone who I have met along the way and who has supported me. The three clubs firstly, @westernbulldogs @sydneyswans @carlton_fc for everything you have allowed me to achieve and the opportunities you have provided me. My career has afforded me so many unique and amazing opportunities that I don't take for granted. I'd like to thank all of the players I have played with, I have learnt so much as u have been my family for the last 10 years. Special thanks to the halo crew, TKE, BC & the Westside + dang + Matt, Friends I'm sure will last a lifetime. Lastly my fiancé @adriennelee01 I'm so very grateful. Like the majority of professional footballer out there they have a tough job living a life of uncertainty year to year, packing up their careers and moving at a drop of a hat when you change clubs to support you, not to mention no weekends :) so for everything you have been through I say thank you and I love you very much. There will people I have missed but I'm sure I will get to you individually over the coming weeks. Thanks ❤️ Dre 🐱 #novel #JobSearch #seek #uber

Everitt, who led Carlton's goalkicking in 2015, was one of many let loose by the Blues this season.

The 27-year-old jumped the gun on Carlton, however, confirming his delistment on Instagram with a classic piece of Photoshop work before the club could.
