Trent Cotchin Does Sam Mitchell A "Good Favour" For Their Brownlow Press Conference

Newly-crowned 2012 Brownlow medallists Sam Mitchell and Trent Cotchin spoke to the media for the first time since receiving their prestigious awards.
But understandably, the whole situation has been a little uncomfortable for the pair.
When asked if there was a "level of awkwardness" receiving the award as a West Coast player, Mitchell said that Cotchin had helped him out for the press conference.
"Trent’s done me a good favour by agreeing to suit up - I didn’t really have a club polo to wear," Mitchell laughed.
"I thought it would look a bit awkward if we had Richmond one next to a plain shirt."
"I asked if he would wear a suit and he agreed, so there is a level of awkwardness. But I think I’m OK with everyone at Hawthorn."
Mitchell said that he plans to meet up with some friends from the Hawks this afternoon, but from now on is keen to sink his teeth into his new career at the Eagles.
"This is a little bit of closure on this side of things," Mitchell said.
The pair also explained how neither of them had spoken to Jobe Watson since replacing his as the winner of the 2012 medal.
"I don't think that's our place," Mitchell explained - and Cotchin agreed.
Details regarding the official ceremony will be released at a later date.
