Danny Frawley Names Clear Frontrunner For Brisbane Coaching Job
"If he wants it, I think he'll get it"
Danny Frawley has named Hawthorn footy boss Chris Fagan as the clear frontrunner for the vacant Brisbane coaching job.
The Lions are on the hunt for a new head coach after sacking Justin Leppitsch at the end of the season, but Spud suggests the search may not last long.
"He still may have to go through a process, but if he wants it, I think he'll get it," he said on the Saturday Rub. "It's as simple as that.
"The process around the coach will ramp up a little bit now that (he's) out of finals contention at Hawthorn. Watch that space."
Frawley suggested the decision rested on whether Fagan truly wanted to leave Hawthorn and take on the huge role.
"It depends whether he really wants to go down that path," he said.
"He's a coach before, he's been Clarko's right hand man, they've been at the top of the tree for the last seven years.
"Does he want to go and put his, not toe, but his whole body in the water and say 'I want to have a crack at this?'"
