Shane Warne has burnt his bowling hand ahead of his big bash debut for the Melbourne Stars against Sydney Thunder on Saturday night at the MCG.

Warnie's hand is on ice for 48 hours in the lead up to the game, he's calling for help with any ideas to help him get rid of the blisters.

"Not ideal preparation for practice match today-burning the bowling hand Get better quickly please,any suggestions-HELP," Warnie tweeted this morning @warne888.

Warnie is expected to be fine for the match which should attract a massive crowd for the Melbourne Stars first game of the competition.
