James Courtney: 'Tough Week For Racing' Post by: Madame H 21 October, 2011 - 11:08 AM

James Courtney On Losing A Mate

Defending V8 Supercar champion James Courtney has told The Grill Team it's been a tough week for racing after the death of his close friend and co-driver Dan Wheldon.

"It's touched a lot of guys up and down pit lane. I knew him personally in and away from racing."

James Courtney was meant to team up with the 33 year-old Brit who was killed at the Las Vegas Indy 15 car pile up last weekend.

"It's incredibly sad, it was a very unusual set of circumstances that led to the accident with Dan," the Holden driver said.
