There's always a scapegoat and yes, maybe Ricky could have handled a few things better. let's not panic, we are coming off one of the most successful runs of Aussie cricket. It will take time to rebuild, it also goes to show how good McGrath and Warney were in the bowling department.

If they don't believe they can win then they never will - they're not doing anyone any favours staying on with a bad attitude.

Ricky is a legend and has been a top captain. But now it may be a case of letting someone "pup" with a new approach and fresh ideas towards captaining the side have a crack at the top job.

Ricky may not be the best captain we have ever fielded, but he is the best we have right now. I don't think he should be demoted on the back of a few series losses. Especially when we are clearly in a rebuilding phase. I believe the selectors are to blame for some rediculous selections. Andrew Hilditch, its time to go!

I think the time has come for Ricky Ponting to move on. I can't BELIEVE he tied with Michael Clarke for the Border medal. It is definitely time for a new leader. Ponting has become too arrogant and I think his best is behind him. It is a travesty Simon Katich is not in the 1 day side too? They need to keep David Warner as well. He will learn and go on to be a fantastic part of the team

If the Aussie Cricket team want to succeed they can't keep criss-crossing their batsmen around. It will play with their minds and they will be worried about their performances in the game and won't be able to perform at there best.
Ricky needs to go, he had a poor summer and it's time for some young guns to feel comfy and not worry about impressing their well renowned captain. They all run to him when they catch the ball, usually you run to the bowler!

As a captain of the Aussie cricket team, I think that the jury would be still out. Only those who know cricket very well would be able to vote on that one. Ricky as a player, he would be the first bloke I would pick every time. He has the odd failing, but he was Australia's saving grace in the recent visit to Australia by Sth Africa. I believe he is still the best batesman in the world by a long shot. He is 1 of the most consistent batesman I have ever known. Even great's like Steve Waugh.

I Think ricky has to go as captain so he can concentrate more on his own game and get back to the player he was.I also think that ricky & pup(mick clarke)have some arogance about them which doesn't belong in the game.My pick for captain you cant go past simon katich he is the one to take us to the next level.
