Brett Kimmorley Retires

Arguably one of the game's greatest characters, Brett Kimmorley has called it quits.

According to the Daily Telegraph the former test star will carry on in a coaching role at the Bulldogs for the next 2 years.

It comes as no surprise as we reported earlier the champion halfback was only receiving offers from lowly placed teams including this season's massive under achievers the Eels.

Affectionately nick-named Noddy, Kimmorley, 33, began his career at Newcastle, moving on to Hunter Mariners, Storm, Northern Eagles, the Sharks and the Bulldogs.

Monday Night Football will be a big occasion as Kimmorley will be joined by UK-bound Luke Patten in farewelling Bulldogs fans at their final home game vs the Panthers.

An official announcement will be made at 12.30pm.
