Pakistan Cricket Ban Players For Life Post by: Strak 11 March, 2010 - 12:25 PM

We we're on to this a few months back when Shane Warne let slip that there was something 'heinous' going on with how the Pakistan boys were playing in Australia.

Watch what Warney had to say on Triple M.

The Pakistan cricket board have now indefinetly banned Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan, the last two men to captain Pakistan in Tests.

They weren't the only ones to be given a whack. Shoaib Malik and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan have been banned for a year and fined.

Shahid Afridi, the captain of the Twenty20 side, was fined and put on probation for six months over his 'shameful act' of biting the ball in Perth.

The Akmal brothers, Kamran and Umar, were treated similarly and told their conduct would be strictly monitored.

That leaves Pakistan with about four experienced cricketers to go into the Twenty20 World Cup.

Do you think that match fixing is a problem in international cricket?

Of course there is something wrong going on, that Sydney test was totally off the boil the way the game finished.

It was a case of what the Pakistan board didn't say. It seems that no one wants to use the 'phrase' match fixing. You don't get banned for life for a misdemeanour.

believe none of what you see and half of what you hear - there's definately more to this than meets the eye - i reckon the ACB could argue they need a refund - the other team never turned up and when they did it was only cause their bookies demanded it.
