On Friday March 2nd, both Cricket Australia and the NRL want their games on Channel Nine, not the network's secondary channel GEM.
"Cricket should butt out. Cricket's got their allocated times, between October and February. That's when they should play their cricket," Triple M's own NRL legend Mark "MG" Geyer said emphatically on the Grill Team this morning. "Once March hits, it's rugby league season. So back off!" he exclaimed.
Triple M listeners were unanimous in their support of the NRL over the cricket. One listener claiming "cricket puts me to sleep," another "cricket's for nerds" whilst Mel from Toongabbie proclaimed: "we can smell the Dencorub already. It's footy season."
