In a photo supplied to us by The Daily Telegraph is Sydney Roosters coach Brian Smith on top of a cherry-picker looking down over his players going through a ballwork session at training.

Triple M's The Grill Team say it's a weird look but are divided about whether it's a good thing.

"I've seen something similar… Napoleon did it!" laughed Matty Johns.

"Look, I don't mind if he does this behind closed doors," added Mark "MG" Geyer. "But it looks like a 'higher-than-mighty' type thing where he's looking down at his disciples saying 'look boys, I'm up here'."

However, Grill Team host and passionate Roosters fan, Gus Worland said if it gives the team a winning edge it's fine by him.

"I love my team and Brian Smith is under a lot of pressure so he's doing whatever he can possibly do to get things right. This might be it for him if he doesn't get us off to a good start."
