NRL Just "Doing Right Thing" In Moving Eels Final Game To ANZ, Says Matty Johns
Matty Johns says the NRL are just "doing the right thing" by moving Nathan Hindmarsh's final game for the Eels to ANZ Stadium.
"If you are going to air your grievances you need to air them with Parramatta," Matty Johns said on Triple M Sydney's Grill Team. "[After all] Parramatta would have agreed to it."
With the Eels to face the Dragons in the final regular game of the season, it will be a send off for both Eels players Nathan Hindmarsh and Luke Burt as well as Dragons' Ben Hornby and Dean Young.
The talk came after The Grill Team received an email from a fan labelling the decision to move the sold-out game as "crap".
"What about us the loyal ever-supporting, always faithful Eels supporters, we have been robbed by the NRL of a home game send off," said co-host Gus Worland reading the email on The Grill Team.
Mark "MG" Geyer admitted he can see both sides of the story.
"If I am Nathan Hindmarsh or Luke Burt I'd want to play my last game at home but as the NRL says, they'll get, instead of 25,000, 50,000 fans to farewell four legends," MG stated.
