Broncos Star Tests Positive For Swine Flu Post by: Triple M 11 June, 2009 - 2:36 PM
Broncos star, Karmichael Hunt has tested positive to swine flu but in a surprise twist the Brisbane team will be forced to play against the Bulldogs on Friday night. The side, already left exhausted by players backing up for Origin 1 and their 48-4 mauling at the hands of Melbourne Storm last week, have not trained as a complete team once since since the weekend.
Chief health officer Jeannette Young has released a statement saying the decision to play "rested entirely with league officials."
Earlier this week, 5 other players including captain Darren Lockyer were cleared of having swine flu.
What do you think? Should the game be postponed?

In 2 minds about this. Yes I'm glad they are playing, but do think it's a bit unfair considering lack of training they have had. I also think that the Bulldogs should show a little heart considering it's 1 of their players that have passed this on!!!!

It was totaly unfair for the nrl to make the broncos play with only a few hours training on the day of the game, and they weren't even supposed to do that! The swine flu reaction is way over the top. It's turned out to be better than normal flu. The only place it's really bad is in mexico because they have poor health and bad living conditions.
