RSPCA's Million Paws Walk

RSPCA's Million Paws Walk

Million Paws Walk, Perth’s largest doggy-day-out event, celebrates its 21st year of raising funds for animals in need in Western Australia. The event brings together the dogs of Perth, and their people, on Sunday, 20 May from 8:30am, at Sir James Mitchell Park on the South Perth Foreshore. The official walk starts at 11am.

Registration is now open at, and when you register, you can also purchase limited edition Million Paws Walk merchandise for you and your four-legged friends. All proceeds go to RSPCA WA to help rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals in need.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome to attend the walk, and there are three walking routes of various lengths to suite every pup: 1km, 2½km and 5km route.

The day promises loads of fun and adventure for pups and their paw-rents – there are fun activities to keep your dog active; a pet expo area showcasing products for pets and their owners; a dog agility demonstration and competitions; onsite vets offering free vet checks and advice; and the City Farmers mobile Dog Wash vans for a bit of puppy pampering.

Participants are encouraged to raise funds in the lead up to the event, with everyone who raises $400 or more granted free admission to the VI-Paws Lounge area at the event. You and your VI-Pooch will receive a special VIP gift bag, free food and refreshments, a place to sit and relax, and a doggy treats bar for these Very Important Pooches!

For the people attending, there will be a number of coffee vans dotted around the event, as well as food trucks, and we’ll have the Mix 94.5 StreetTeam on site for fun games and giveaways.

The Million Paws Walk event is only open to dogs (and their people). All dogs must be vaccinated, socialised and must be kept on a leash at all times.
RSPCA WA is Western Australia’s largest animal welfare organisation and as a charity, relies on the generous support of the public through fund raising events like Million Paws Walk, to raise over 90% of the funds needed to operate.

Regional events are also planned for the same day in Bridgetown, Denmark, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Mundaring, Pingelly, Rockingham and Shark Bay. Details at
