To celebrate the 50th A Day On The Green in Kings Park, we're delighted to announce that next year's massive event is to feature one of the true living legends of contemporary music.
Ladies and gentlemen... the one and only Bryan Ferry.
That's right... the Roxy Music frontman will be hitting Kings Park for A Day on The Green on Thursday 21 February, 2019.
Our very own rock star, Clairsy, spoke with Bryan ahead of the big announcement.
Clairsy Chats With Bryan
It's yet another coup for the promoters, who over the years have brought some of the very biggest and best artists to little old Perth. Artists including international superstars Don Henley, Elvis Costello, Blondie, Cyndi Lauper, Ronan Keating, Simply Red, James Blunt, Jackson Browne, Chris Isaak, Garbage, Joe Cocker, Diana Krall, Bryan Adams, Simple Minds and Billy Idol.
There's also been a cavalcade of Aussies as well, including John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, INXS, Icehouse and You Am I.
Brad Mellen, of Mellen Events, found it tough work to pick a favourite act...
"It really is a special place to see live music and we look forward to plenty more shows ahead. All the shows have been great and it's hard to find one favourite, but if I had to pick, I would go for the trifecta of Joe Cocker, Paul Kelly and the re-formed Hunters! But, wow, it's hard to pick a fave."
Tickets go on-sale Monday 29th October at 2pm via ticketmaster.
