The doco telling the story of Jimmy Barnes has broken new records before its released.

Following its world premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival last week, JIMMY BARNES: WORKING CLASS BOY is already the biggest Australian documentary release in history and the biggest documentary release since Michael Jackson’s This Is It in 2009.

In cinemas Thursday 23rd August, the film will be shown in over 220 cinemas across the country.

This follows the record breaking success of the book by the same name that recently returned to the top 10 best sellers list this year following the release of it’s follow up, Working Class Man - also a #1 bestseller - another Aussie first!

The soundtrack for the film, Working Class Boy- The Soundtracks is also making headlines after Barnes announced he will donating all of his royalties from the album to this year’s drought relief.
