As the anticipation grows for what will no doubt be one of the biggest movie releases of the year, Shawn Mendes has released an acoustic version of Queen's Under Pressure.

The song is the first of three Queen covers to be released, as we froth over the up and coming biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody.

The project also benefits the Mercury Phoenix Trust, an organisation founded by Brian May, Roger Taylor and Queen’s manager, Jim Beach, to support the global fight against HIV/AIDS.

Shawn Mendes is obviously pretty happy to be involved:

"I am so honoured to be able to support the amazing legacy of Freddie and Queen by doing a cover of one of my favourite songs, ‘Under Pressure.’ It was so exciting to me to be able to do this with my close collaborator and one of my best friends, Teddy Geiger, for a cause that is very close to our hearts,"

- Shawn Mendes

The movie is out November here in Australia... can't wait!
