WA Local Musos Urged To Apply For A Bonanza Of Grants

Massive news for the up and coming bands out there in #Perth. There's a huge $15K worth of grants up for grabs, courtesy of a local brewery who are already thinking outside the square.

Late last year, Otherside Brewing Co. announced that regular, ordinary punters could buy a slice of their brewery. Now, they've announced that they've upped the ante on their commitment to live and local music.

Last year, Otherside gave away over $10K worth of grants in their Tapped By Otherside grants program, meaning that a few lucky bands got to do some cool stuff they arguably wouldn't have been able to do without the grant.

Fremantle's Koi Child, for example, got to go to the SXSW festival in Texas.

And Verge Collection got to take their music to the country with a headline tour, courtesy of them winning Otherside's inaugural Australian Tour Grant.

All ‘original music’ West Australian-based bands or solo artists are eligible to apply for the three 2018 Australian Tour Grants via the Tapped By Otherside website below. Entries close 5pm WST Monday, February 12, and the applicants will be shortlisted by a panel of music industry professionals, with voting then opened to the public.
