The biggest rock band band Foo Fighters are back on tour playing live and to celebrate we’ve dug up 10 things you didn’t know about Fooeys (ok so you hardcores know more than the band themselves)… but here it is:

Krist Novoselic, from Nirvana was considered a member for the Foo Fighters line up.

Dave Grohl’s mum stars in the film clip for Breakout, look at the woman who flips him the bird at the 1 minute mark.

Fooey’s drummer Taylor Hawkins was in the touring band for Alanis Morissette.

Dave Grohl was an extra in an episode of The X Files in 1996.

The original Foo Fighters songs were released under the band name Late!

Own Wasting Light on CD? The band sneakily included pieces analog tape the album was recorded on in the first distribution of the album.

Dave Grohl played drums for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on Saturday Night Live.

The band’s self titled debut was all recorded by Dave Grohl.

The band rarely play Monkey Wrench live as it’s too difficult to play.

Although previously saying they'd never want to play anniversary shows, the band broke that rule in 2015 celebrating their 20th anniversary.
