AC/DC fans will be excited to hear that down Freo way, south of Perth, there's a month long festival about to launch in celebration of the great man.

Dubbed BonFest Freo - A Giant Dose of Rock ‘n’ Roll, it's celebrating everything Bon, in and around Bon's resting place in Fremantle. It will also mark the 10 year anniversary of the famous Bon Scott statue installation.

There are a whole month of activities on offer, which culminates in a massive four day weekend of music... the highlight being the Jailbreak Concert at the iconic Freo Prison.

Can you even imagine it? That song at that location?

The ‘Jailbreak Concert – A Whole Lotta Pipers’ gig will be held on Saturday 17th February, and the event organiser, Freo's very own legendary AC/DC fan Doug Thorncroft, is putting together an ambitious play to break the world record for the World’s Biggest Bagpipe Band to perform It’s a Long Way to The Top.
