Most of us would be happy to be able to handle a six string guitar, let alone some of the more ridiculous seven and eight string varieties that you see.

An Aussie guitar maker named Perry Ormsby has gone about a zillion times bigger, creating an outrageous 18 string guitar for YouTube personality Jared Dines.

Dines has a cult following for his parodies of metal and punk songs and genres, including drum style parodies and songs written on guitars with just one string.

Now he has teamed up with Ormsby and created the DJENT2018, an 18 string behemoth made of mahogany, Tasmanian blackwood, ebony and even three truss rods.

The photos of this bad boy show off just how ridiculous it truly is:

 

While this beast looks unplayable, there’s some footage of Dines giving it a decent crack towards the end of this video:

 

It will be interesting to see how he goes once Dines gets used to it.
