It’s sad times for the Australian live music scene.
This weekend we just saw the closure of iconic Melbourne live music venue Ding Dong Lounge (read more here), yesterday we learnt that Melbourne's Festival Hall is potentially turning into apartments (read more here) and now another live music venue is in the shit.
Sydney’s popular live music bar, The Bald Faced Stag has been accused of not paying bands, months after their performance and failed to pay rent to the landlord.
This move has resulted in the occupier, Ulladulla Property Services will no longer be running the venue and all current bookings and the venue’s landlords will look after the venue for the time being.
The Music exclusively broke this story today.
Here’s hoping we don’t see another live music venue close due to poor management.
