Now in it’s 16th Year, the International Songwriting Competition has announced its finalists, with a massive 60 of the finalist being Aussies this year, making up 20% of the finalists.

The competition, that had over 16,000 entries from 137 countries will be judged by leading song writers including Tom Waits, Chris Cornell, Joe Bonamassa and Art Alexakis (Everclear).

The Aussie’s waving the rock flag are Melbourne’s hard working rockers Dallas Frasca.

The prize gives away more than $150,000 in cash and prizes and has recognised Aussie musicians The Living End, Birds Of Tokyo, Eskimo Joe, Jedediah Vance Joy, Gotye and Matt Corby in the past.
