Drone footage of the new Perth Stadium has emerged on Youtube.
Uploaded by Warren Duffy, the footage shows construction crews heavily working on the outskirts of the stadium, while the arena itself looks close to completion.
Set on the banks of the Swan River, the 60,000 seat stadium was originally slated to be ready for this year's Ashes Test, but is now set to open in early 2018.
"Hosting the Ashes Test at the new stadium would have been a spectacle, but unfortunately it's just not possible and the State Government is now working to correct the problems we have inherited," WA Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray said recently.
"Confirmation of the Ed Sheeran concert in March 2018, just ahead of the first AFL match is a fantastic outcome for Western Australians, and we will continue to investigate the possibility of earlier events."
