Eagles’ Over Take Michael Jackson’s Thriller For Best Selling Record Of All Time

Eagles have just smashed Michael Jackson as the best selling record of all time with their Greatest Hits record.

Their Greatest Hits 1971- 1975 has overtaken MJ’s Thriller following a 10 year battle of the #1 spot between the two records for over a decade, with Thriller taking the top spot from Eagles following the King of Pop’s death in 2009.

The ranking includes digital downloads and streams, with the 70s rock hits maintaining  a favourite for music lovers.

Reflecting on the success Eagles’ Don Henley said in a statement;
“We are grateful for our families, our management, our crew, the people at radio and, most of all, the loyal fans who have stuck with us through the ups and downs of 46 years. It’s been quite a ride.”
