A collaboration that you may have never imagined is actually happening – Justin Timberlake and the Foo Fighters have teamed up for an appearance on the band’s brand new album.

Dave Grohl has previously teased the “biggest pop star in the world” would be lending his vocal chops to Concrete and Gold – and it looks like JT is the “special guest”.

The frontman told Rolling Stone were working at Los Angeles studio EastWest at the same time when they decided to work together.

“We’d drink whiskey in the parking lot,” said Grohl.

“He [Justin] was really, really cool. Then the night before his last day, he says, ‘Can I sing on your record? I don’t want to push it, but – I just want to be able to tell my friends.'”

Grohl added that Timberlake pretty much “nailed” his appearance – and we wouldn’t expect anything less.

“I’m telling you – the guy’s going somewhere,” Grohl said.

The ninth Foo Fighters album Concrete And Gold will be out on September 15.
