Australian musician, Scott Darlow has gone viral, following a bad experience with an Uber driver last week.

The Home Grown favourite took to his official Facebook to share the experience of the racist drive.

Not recognising Darlow’s Aboriginal heritage, the Townsville driver began explaining to the Melbourne musician the issues the town has due to the “black bastards”.

The musician took the high road during the 30 minute trip and responded to these racist remarks calmly.

Talking to Darlow on this experience, he told Triple M:

“Throughout his whole rant, I sat there angry and shocked. But was also mindful that you don't get anywhere with aggression or anger. Ultimately I completely believe that if every Australian chose to show every human they encountered 10% more forgiveness, love, understanding, tolerance and empathy, reconciliation would have happened.”
