The Melbourne based band had success with their punk singles T-Shirt, Headache and even had UK airplay from BBC disc jockey Johny Peel with the song Johnny Peel Is Dead.

Jane made the announcement on her official instagram saying; “My band Rubher are reforming for a one-off show with our mates @themavissofficial at The Prince May 11th! Just for fun.  Getting the band and dear friends together again!”

See the post:

Rubher disbanded in 1995 as Jane’s journalism career took off, which worked out well for us!
The band had 2 EP's, 10 tours and supported Brit pop band Elastica- what a ride!

Rubher will be joining The Mavis’s as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their chart hitting record Pink Pills.

Catch Rubher support The Mavis’s at The Prince Bandroom 11th May.

As for Jane you can catch her on My Generation and Triple M’s Home Grown.
