Jimmy Barnes has surprisingly has taken out the ARIA for the Best Children’s Album at this year’s ARIA Awards.

The rock singer who hasn’t won an ARIA since 1992 shocked everyone beating The Wiggles for the gong.

The album, Och Aye The G’Nu was inspired by Barnes’ grand son Dylan, when his wife Jane was trying to teach their grandchild Scottish.

This is a huge year for Jimmy, who’s book Working Class Man broke records by going #1 and the tour to support the book is selling out nationally (read more here).
