John Butler's Gritty New Clip Released To The World

Our most successful independent artist of all time, Mr John Butler, has released the video for the first single off his forthcoming album today.

The song, simply called Home, is a fair departure from the John Butler we may have known in the past... but in a good way. It's darker, grittier and definitely an evolved sound.

But hey... that's just our first impression.

Indeed, the press release we got along with the track has word on the album from the man himself.

“Given the very personal subject matter of these new songs I pondered what it might mean to record in mainly a solo format for the first time ever,” explains John Butler. “(This track) scratches the surface of the emotional and sonic landscape that eventually became the bedrock of the album.”

The clip for Home portrays a good account of Butler's feelings at the time of recording. It's clearly a commentary from John on the struggles we have in life to maintain some sort of balance. He's pining from home, but his life dictates that at stages in his life, he has to spend extended periods away from it.

We can probably all relate to that struggle.

The single Home is now available for download and streaming while the HOME album is also available to pre-order now. A range of exclusive bundles, including signed CD’s, LP’s and HOME merchandise, are also available now via John's very own website.
