A Fleetwood Mad spokesperson has responded to the shocking news that Lindsey Buckingham has sued the band.

Earlier this year, longtime Fleetwood Mac guitarist and vocalist Lindsey Buckingham was replaced with Crowded House frontman Neil Finn and The Hertbreakers' Mike Campbell.

It was originally revealed that the band fired Buckingham due to scheduling conflicts.

The drama now thickens as it has been made public that Buckingham has filed a lawsuit against the band on a number of charges. Notably, the lawsuit claims that denying Buckingham's participation in Fleetwood Mac's 2018/2019 tour has lost the musician up to $14M. (Associated Press, Billboard.com).

The lawsuit states that he asked the group to postpone their tour by three months, so that he could schedule shows with his solo band, this request was supposedly denied.

Once he learned that the band would play three shows a week, he asked to book his own shows in between Mac dates as an alternative option.

It's safe to say that this didn't go down all too well... according to Buckingham, next he knew they had decided to continue the tour without him after he received a phone call from the band's manager. (Andy Greene, Rollingstone.com).

It is also reported that he tried reaching out to the other band members in an attempt to come to a resolution, but to no avail...

Now Fleetwood Mac spokesperson Kristen Foster has responded to the lawsuit, saying in a statement that the band “looks forward to their day in court.

Thus we reach another Chapter in the dramatic novel of 'The Mac', until next time.
