In a recent interview with KROQ Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda opened up about his band mate and friend Chester Bennington.

Shinoda appeared on the American radio station to promote the coming gig in celebration of Chester.

The gig will be held at Hollywood Bowl and be a celebration of Chester’s life.

Talking of the event, Shinoda said;“We decided we’re going to have a show, we’re inviting some other friends, that list of guests is yet to be announced”.

Now two months since Chester took his own life, his band mate and friend opens up about the popular singer;

“The darkness that he had was always there and what was so unique and special about this guy he used it as fuel to do so many positive things. He was such a happy guy, such a fun guy. such a happy, positive, up beat energy and that’s what we want to get out of this show. It’s a celebration of life”.
