Fans have wondered how AC/DC will sound following the death of founding member, rhythm guitarist and songwriter Malcolm Young.

If the new reports are true we won’t need to worry.

JAM Magazine reported that Malcolm’s signature rhythm guitar parts will included on the new AC/DC record.

According to JAM Angus and Malcolm Young lived together in 2013 and wrote and recorded hundreds of songs, before Malcolm retired from the band in 2014 after announcing he was diagnosed with dementia.

The report also confirmed Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams are joining Angus for the band’s 17th studio album.

The record has been making headlines this past month with various AC/DC members, past and present been photographed at the Vancouver studio (read more here) where the band have worked for the past few years, so we asked our very own Lee Simon on what he thinks of it all.

If these reports are true this is the closest original AC/DC we’ve seen for a while.
