The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne has been honoured at the Metal Hammer Awards last night.
The singer took out the Golden God Award as a solo musician, just one year after accepting the same award with his band Black Sabbath.
The 69 year old kept the acceptance speech short and sweet, but was thankful none the less.
The award ceremony also saw a live performance from Aussie metal legends Parkway Drive.
Ozzy Osbourne is hailed as the original metal singer, shaping the rock sound as we know it today.
Osbourne is currently touring Europe and the USA, with hopes of an Australian tour, but nothing confirmed.
The ageing rock icon talked to Triple M’s Dangerous Dave ahead of the final Black Sabbath tour in 2016- looking back at the loss of his friends and fellow musicians David Bowie and Lemmy.
