Just months after reporting the highly anticipated biopic on Queen’s Freddie Mercury got the green light, it seems it’s hit a road block.
As reported by News.com.au director Bryan Singer has been given the boot from the upcoming Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody.
It's reported the sacking happened after the director failed to turn up to work.
Singer, who made a name for himself working on X-Men was apparently clashing with the film’s lead, Rami Malek who plays the lead, Freddie.
Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor have been working closely with the director on the film and we expect they will continue to with the new director.
It is unknown if this change will push back the release date of the film, which is due to be out December 2018.
