It seems like we're not the only ones keen on a Rage Against The Machine reunion; drummer Brad Wilk has made it very clear that he wants the band back together, saying "nothing would make [him] happier".

Wilk, who is also the drummer for Audioslave and Prophets of Rage, was chatting to the Let There Be Talk podcast when the topic of a reunion came up.

The band split back in 2000 - almost 20 years after they crashed onto the music scene - but reformed seven years later for a string of shows, finishing up again in 2011.

"Nothing would make me happier than to be able to fuck shit up right now with Rage Against The Machine," Wilk said.

"If that will happen again or not, I have no idea, but I know at least the four of us are amicable and can talk to each other and actually even go hang out on occasion, so I think more we just want to be friends first more than anything.

"How many bands are around more than five years? We've been around since 1991."

When pressed on the reason why the band haven't performed together in the last few years, Wilk likened their situation to magnets.

"It's always been something different," he continued. "It's always been somebody different. It's always something.

"For us, it's kind of like the magnet theory. One magnet is always being pushed out. You've just got to get all of the magnets to stick together for a minute and that's always been our problem."

Wilk added: "I feel like a politician right now because I'm kind of skipping specifics but that's just kind of the best way I can answer it."

And speaking of Rage... Tom Morello chatted to Triple M's Ugly Phil ahead of his recent trip to Australia. Listen below:
