Two months after his shocking death Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave musician, Tom Morello has penned a touching letter to the late Chris Cornell.

The two rock musicians were friends, muses and then band mates and it’s obviously the void Cornell has left in Morello’s life from this heartbreaking letter, shared by the official Chris Cornell Facebook page.

Morello asks Cornell to say hi to their friends who have already passed, including Kurt Cobain and Alice In Chains singer Layne Staley.

Apart from the pouring of admiration for Cornell as a musician, Morello encourages everyone to look out for each other saying;

“I’d like to ask everyone here to make a pledge to each other. Look to your right, look to your left. If you ever find yourself in a moment of sadness and doubt, if you fall off the wagon, if you are depressed, if you’re in trouble, if you feel like you might slip off the tightrope of life, in that moment you can call the person sitting next to you right now, you can call me. For Chris’s sake let’s make a commitment to look after one another.”
