Stone Temple Pilots have played their first live show and announced a new single with their new singer.
The band’s huge live return was last night at the infamous Troubadour in Los Angeles, the same venue Guns N ‘ Roses had their live reunion at.
The Grammy award winning rock band welcomed new singer and The X Factor runner up Jeff Gutt to a huge audience who welcomed the frontman.
Gutt is replacing Scott Weiland who sadly passed almost two years ago, December 2015 with the late Chester Bennington filling his shoes before his shocking death.
On taking on the role, Gutt who resembles the popular Weiland said;
“No one will ever fill Scott’s shoes and I’m not trying to – he’s a legend. But these songs deserve to be performed and people want to hear them. I’m just honored that the guys chose me to help them continue to build this band’s legacy,”
The band’s first single with Gutt, Meadow is available now here
