It’s a given when you think of the colour purple you think of Prince and now he has a shade of purple named after him.
The musician, who suddenly passed away in April 2016 has now been immortalised thanks to Pantone Color Institute.
As reported by NME, Pentone is responsible for naming colours and the iconic rich purple is now named Love Symbol #2.
The colour is so iconic for the talent, not only thanks to his hit single Purple Rain but his popular use of the colour in instruments and outfits.
So what does this mean? All official items released by Prince’s estate will use this colour, including a book on the life of the musical genius titled, Prince: A Private View.
