The Killers Dominating The U.K Charts For 13 Years

We’re all guilty of bopping along to The Killers 2004 hit single Mr Brightside, but it seems U.K music fans have just kept on bopping.

The Killers single has been in the U.K charts for 13 years!

Noisey came to this shock realisation this week and music fans are scratching their heads as to why this song, as great as it is, has never been bumped from the charts.

We chatted to Triple M's Sammy X and The Killers super fan on the topic who said "With its catchy lyrics and dance-floor-filling riff, Mr. Brightside is high energy pop-rock at its finest. Everyone knows at least some of the words and they ALWAYS sing along (try not to).  Add to this the need for an antidote to the x factor type music that came out around the same time and you’ve got yourself a timeless anthem for the ages."

Regardless, we’re not complaining. The Nevada rock band always go down a treat and it seems the awkward tale that is Mr Brightside resonates with the English audiences.
