The Killers are coming back to Sydney - but there's a catch.

Brandon Flowers et al will be performing an intimate, one-night-only gig at a top secret venue somewhere in Sydney next Wednesday, May 9, to celebrate the end of their Australian tour.

There are only 200 double passes up for grabs, which means it's an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the world's biggest rock bands.

And those tickets are FREE; American Express, who is hosting the event, is giving anyone over the age of 18 the chance to come along as long as they register here.

The Killers' opening act, Sydneysider Alex Cameron, will also be performing at what American Express hopes is a step in the right direction for Australia's live music scene.

"We're bringing a global act to a small, iconic music venue and creating a live music experience that people will never forget," American Express Vice President of Brand and Experiences, Naysla Edwards, said.

"It's a sign of our commitment to supporting a thriving music scene in Australia - one that will flourish for years to come."

The competition is open NOW, and you have until 9am next Tuesday, May 8, to register.
